How did you get started in design?

Growing up in the heart of the North Carolina furniture industry, I developed a deep appreciation for quality craftsmanship, the tradition of furniture making, and the importance of supporting local artisans. My experiences in the luxury fashion market and as an editor of a home furnishings trade publication further honed my eye for interiors. After training in a residential design firm, I founded my own firm in 2010 and have since worked on diverse projects throughout the Southeast and beyond. Passionate about art and craftsmanship, I travel internationally to source unique finds for my clients and believe in creating intentional, beautiful spaces that reflect their individual stories.

My design work is a marriage of function and beauty. I am inspired by creating homes that elevate and improve the lives of my clients through creative, custom solutions.

How do you approach the creative process and problem-solving in design?

I am unique as a designer in that while I love to be creative, I truly thrive in systems and function, always seeking to design homes that are not only beautiful but also improve the quality of life for those living in them. I first get to know my clients on a personal level and truly listen to their design needs. This allows me to understand their lifestyle, preferences, and specific design challenges. My goal is to offer tailored solutions that address both aesthetic desires and practical needs, creating spaces that feel intentional and enhance everyday living.

What aspects of Palmer products complement your brand style?

With a passion for mixed metals, glamour, and clean lines, I find that Palmer’s customizable vanity systems, metal bistro shelving, and accents provide the perfect detailing to enhance any project. These elements allow me to tailor each space to fit my clients’ unique needs. Palmer’s exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail bring the versatility and sophistication I seek when designing interiors that are both stylish and functional, enhancing the overall aesthetic and quality of every space.

How do you ensure the design meets the clients' expectations?

We start with a thorough questionnaire that helps us understand every detailed nuance of the client’s home and lifestyle. This allows us to address their specific needs and preferences from the beginning. Additionally, we provide detailed color renderings of custom designs, giving clients a clear visual representation of our vision for their space. This collaborative approach ensures that we are aligned throughout the process, making it easier to create a final design that reflects their expectations and enhances their home.

As a true lover of art and exploration, I regularly travel internationally, seeking inspiration in antique markets and art galleries while curating one-of-a-kind finds for my clients. I strive to create beautiful interiors in collaboration with clients who want to live with intention. My balance of luxury and real-life solutions is evident in both my work and my home.
