• Every system we produce is made to order. Length, finish, load expectations, and mounting conditions are all taken into consideration. This form gives us what we need to price and produce your project accurately, without assumptions
  • Closet Rod Center Support Bracket in polished Brass
A center support is a precision-machined bracket positioned at the midpoint of the rod to bear its load from above. It serves two purposes: eliminating deflection across longer spans, and concealing the seam where two tube sections are joined.

  • Beyond a certain length, a single continuous tube becomes impractical to manufacture, ship, and install without risk of damage or distortion. We join two sections with tight tolerances, and the center support sits over that junction. The result is seamless in both function and appearance.
  • Sleeving effectively doubles the material in the rod by nesting a full-length steel tube inside the brass rod. There's no shortcut to the structural benefit it provides, and the cost reflects that. For projects where longevity and line are non-negotiable, it's worthwhile.
  • Yes. Counter-to-ceiling shelving is one of our most popular configurations. We manufacture each system to the required height and mounting conditions, whether attaching to the countertop, floor, ceiling, wall, or a combination of mounting surfaces.

  • The standard diameter of the gallery rail tubing is 5/16". While we do not offer custom diameters, we can accommodate custom lengths to suit your design needs.
  • In most wall-mounted applications, yes. Proper structural backing is essential for a secure installation. During the quoting process, we'll review your wall construction and recommend the appropriate backing and mounting method before production begins.
  • Closet Rod tubing with Stainless Steel reinforcing sleeving in 1-1/2", 1-14" and 1" diameter tubing
Sleeving is a continuous stainless steel tube fitted inside the rod for structural reinforcement. It runs the full length of the piece and prevents bowing over time, particularly under the weight of heavier garments. On longer spans, it's the difference between a rod that holds its line for years and one that gradually loses it.

  • A living finish is an unlacquered expressive material that naturally changes over time. Exposure to air, moisture, and everyday handling allows the metal to develop a rich patina unique to each installation. This gradual aging to a mature patina is a natural characteristic of the finish and part of its appeal.
  • The installation instructions are included in the box with the product and can also be found on our website. Look for them on the product pages.
  • Sample Finish Chips
All of our finishes are available as sample chips, which can be purchased individually.
The PVD and Best Selling finishes are also available as sets. You can order Finish Sample Chips online here.

  • Not necessarily. Palmer shelving is installed in both new construction and renovation projects. Depending on your wall construction and finish material, we may recommend specific mounting details or coordinate with your contractor to ensure the system is properly supported.
  • Every shelving system is engineered for its specific application. Depending on your project, the system may mount to the wall, floor, countertop, ceiling, or a combination of these surfaces. We'll review your installation and recommend the appropriate mounting method based on your design and site conditions.
  • The maximum recommended span is 32" inches.
  • Yes. Paid Rush Production is available for many products, subject to current production capacity. Timeline and rush fees are determined on a project-by-project basis. If your project has a specific deadline, let your salesperson know as early as possible and we'll review the available options and tailor the production timeline to fit your schedule and budget.
  • To ensure our finishes age gracefully, never use harsh chemical cleaners or abrasive materials, as they may permanently damage your finish. Refer to our care and cleaning instructions for guidance on maintaining and cleaning your Palmer system.
  • The approval drawing confirms every dimension and option before we cut metal. Approving it is what releases the job to production, which protects accuracy on a made-to-order piece.
  • In most cases, adding accessories after an order is installed will require disassembly of the unit. Reach out to our team with your questions, and we will provide guidance on the best practices for adding Palmer Accessories to your unit.
  • Every made-to-order shelving, specialty metalwork, or custom job gets an approval drawing before production.

For our vanity leg systems, we can provide them if requested or if the job has a higher level of customization and tolerances.
  • Yes. Indicate drop-ship on the estimate form and provide the ship-to address and we will take care of it from there!
  • Yes, in some cases. We offer tempered glass shelving up to 40 inches wide. For larger glass shelves, we provide precise dimensions so your local glass fabricator can produce the shelves. This approach reduces the risk of damage during shipping while ensuring the shelves are fabricated specifically for your installation.
  • Yes. Shelving can often be mounted through mirrored and antique mirrored surfaces, but the mirror must be prepared during fabrication. Mounting locations typically require holes to be drilled before the mirror is installed, so coordination with your fabricator is important. Simply indicate that your project includes a mirrored wall when requesting a quote, and we'll provide the required mounting details.
  • Yes. Whether you're working with natural stone, quartz, solid surface, or another countertop material, we'll configure the leg system to suit your specific installation requirements.

If you're still developing the design, our team can recommend the most appropriate configuration for your application.

For select custom projects, satin stainless steel tubing may be available upon request, though it is not part of our standard offering. If you have a custom material inquiry, our sales team would be happy to discuss feasibility and options.
  • Absolutely. Along with existing shelving and cabinetry, Gallery Rails pair beautifully with our open-style cantilever and bracket shelving systems. For tubular shelving styles such as Studio, Ball, Metro, and Split Collar, we recommend accessorizing with our Bottle Rail, which mounts directly to the vertical posts.
  • Yes. Every sink leg system is manufactured specifically for your project. We configure each system around your dimensions, sink, countertop, mounting conditions, and finish to ensure it integrates seamlessly with your design. Standard catalog dimensions serve as a starting point, not a limitation.
  • As a general rule, we recommend sleeving for any rod exceeding 48 inches or wherever heavy load is anticipated. Think outerwear, suiting, or densely packed wardrobes. Our form will flag this automatically based on the length you specify, so you won't need to second-guess it.
  • Every shelving system is configured specifically for the project. Whether you need a simple two-shelf installation or a multi-level architectural shelving system, we'll determine the appropriate number of posts, shelves, and support locations based on your dimensions and application.

  • Yes. Select products and configurations are available through our Quick-Ship program. Availability is confirmed at the time of order and is based on current inventory. • Unlacquered brass is a living finish. It is not sealed, so it develops a natural patina over time. Lacquered brass is sealed to hold its as-shipped appearance. If you want the aged look to build naturally, choose unlacquered. If you want the finish to stay bright, choose lacquered.
  • You can purchase our products directly through our team by getting a quote online, contacting sales, or by visiting your local kitchen and bath dealer. Use our dealer locator tool to find our nearest dealer partner.
  • Every installation is different. Rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach, we evaluate your sink, countertop, wall construction, and mounting conditions to determine the appropriate support method. Our goal is to ensure the completed system performs as beautifully as it looks.
  • Every job is cut to order so we don't stock a "standard" size. Height specifications are influenced by the thickness of your sink top and desired overall height of the system. Provide your overall vanity, sink, and countertop dimensions and we will size the system to fit.
  • Quotes typically take about 2 to 4 days. During high-volume periods, email responses generally run about 2 to 3 days, often sooner.

For Vanity Leg systems, our quoting system can provide near instant numbers if your request does not get flagged for a hands on review.
  • No, Palmer does not provide installation services. We recommend coordinating installation with your contractor or builder. Whether your design is fully detailed or just an initial concept, our team will review your project and recommend the best configuration before preparing a quote.

Please carefully review and confirm all washstand specifications and dimensions prior to installation. Palmer cannot be responsible for labor costs associated with the replacement of incorrectly ordered or specified products.

All Palmer products are fabricated specifically for each project and are made to order. For this reason, orders cannot be returned or canceled once production has begun. Drawing and design services are also custom in nature and are therefore non-cancelable and non-refundable.
